Posted on July 30th, 2008 No commentsOk this is my 19th post lol.. It is still quite new.
About:
This tweak allows you to have a personalized name instead of the generic My Computer. Useless, but neat.
{1} Click [Start] -> [Run] & Type In Regedit
{2} Go To HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
(there are alot of numbers, they are all in order of course){3} Go to the LocalizedString Key
{4} Rename the value [LocalizedString] to [LocalizedString.old] (or anything)
{5} Right Click -> [New] -> [Expandable String Value] -> [LocalizedString]
{6} Right Click On [Localized String] -> [Modify] -> [Value data] – Put anything you like
{7} You Are Done!
“My Computer” icon will now be anything you like
