Use your EyeToy as a webcam

I have used an Eyetoy on my playstation for a very long time, until the Eyetoy Play 2 disk got too scratched, so I decided, why can’t I use it as a webcam, I googled it and found this:

It’s easy to install the EyeToy as a webcam for Windows, and it’s actually worth doing – the picture quality is excellent, and equals many of the more expensive webcams made specifically for computers. The EyeToy will work for video messaging, making movies, MSN, and also for PC webcam games such as Camgoo. We’ve used the EyeToy as a webcam on lots of desktop and laptop computers without any problems – but of course, installation is entirely at your own risk!

If you know what you’re doing, then you won’t need to read the instructions below, just plug in your EyeToy, get the appropriate driver and install it however you want.

If you don’t know what make you eyetoy is, plug it in, look at the bottom right hand corner.
This is what it said for me:
Found new hardware: Eyetoy cam namtai (or something like that)

Also the make will be found on the bottom of your eyetoy, just look!
